A month in review to highlight our community achievements.
We wanted to recap the last month for our community (and ourselves) as it has been a whirlwind of Doge. We tried to capture the key highlights in the photo above. Unfortunately, we could only pick our top three but wanted to share the full list below:
- Over 1400+ community members across Twitter and Discord
- Over 155 ETH traded
- Created over 75 1:1 NFTs
- Top 10 new NFTs on Opensea with a 2.7 ETH Average per Dogepunk
- Launched 5 Influential Dogepunk volumes including Web3 voices such as 0xMaki (Lead Contributor of Sushi), The Crypto Dog, Trent McConaghy (founder of Ocean), Ryan Adams (founder of Bankless), and Dillon Francis (yes, that Dillon Francis).
- Hosted various community engagement events including the March Madness tournament which generated over 900 likes and retweets and have distributed
- Established an artist submission process that generated various artist submissions and sales. Congratulations to DMVNFineArt on being the first artist sale!
- Became a verified artist on Opensea
We’re happy to share that we have hit the majority of our goals set a month ago in the prior Medium post. The only thing missing is being a front page featured artist on Opensea… but we have something in the works :).
What’s coming up next?
We have four goals in April:
i) Continue community engagement events and increased artist community
ii) Gamification of Dogepunks
iii) Reach 2000 followers on Twitter and increase our Discord to 500+ members
iv) Join a NFT Index / Review Fractional Dogepunks
- Continued Community Engagement & Increased Artist Community —
In the last month, we hosted numerous community events resulting in new happy Dogepunk owners and a stronger community to show for it. As mentioned in the first post, we do not believe monetary methods should be the only means to obtain Dogepunks. We will continue to provide opportunities for our community to earn Dogepunks and to be a part of history.
We’re on the constant lookout for great artists to collaborate with. So far, we’ve loved the submissions and the fingerprints that each artist has left on Dogepunks. We want to double our artist community and submissions by the end of the month. If you know of any artists that would be interested, please let us know or nominate them on Twitter and we’ll reach out to them! As part of our commitment, 10% of the original sale proceeds will go to the original creator. - Gamification of Dogepunks
We were excited to share some news in this publication… but unfortunately, the partnership fell through and we don’t have anything finalized for the gamification of Dogepunks. If you have any ideas or have any game developers that would like to collaborate, please us know and we’re excited to see how we can engage our community further with Dogepunk NFTs! To help accelerate this goal, we are hosting a bounty program if you’re able to refer us to a video game developer that is interested in collaborating! What is the prize? A Dogepunk of course :) - Reaching 2000 followers on Twitter / 500 members in Discord
In addition to building our reach on Twitter (which has been the primary communication method), we wanted to accelerate increasing our Discord community! We’re looking to crowdsource ideas and any Discord experts on how we can increase our followers. Hit us up on Twitter and introduce yourself on how we can enhance our Discord community… there might also be a reward for you :) - Joining an NFT Index / Fractional Dogepunks
One of the issues that we recognize… not everyone can afford a Dogepunk. Even with our community engagement events, we recognize the demand is high and people want a Dogepunk and it could be cost prohibitive. To help combat this we’re looking into joining an index fund such as NFTX where people will be able to purchase Dogepunks in a different manner or review the idea of fractional Dogepunks .
